M&P Installation and Essentials Class

Class Description:

Acquire the in-depth knowledge and skills needed to install and troubleshoot Mitsubishi Electric M&P-series systems. Throughout the 2-day Mitsubishi Service Course, you will be introduced to the concepts and theories of Mitsubishi system operation, including an in-depth functional study of the unique technologies employed. From there, you will move into detailed discussions surrounding the theories of properly applying, installing and troubleshooting Mitsubishi M&P-series systems. Concepts and theory are covered in the classroom and reinforced through practical hands-on exercises. Static displays and fully functional Mitsubishi systems are installed for system analysis and practical troubleshooting exercises.
*This class is required as part of the Diamond Contractor Program.

Recommended for installers, startup and service personnel for Mitsubishi systems, who possess intermediate or greater HVAC technical skills.

Topics that will be covered:

• Review the six-step installation process including refrigerant charge, DIP switches, and jumper settings
• Explain system start-up, warranty terms, and product registration procedures
• Discuss the operation and functionality of M- and P-Series control options
• Create a project using Diamond System Builder software
• Explain the steps to perform preventive maintenance on system components
• Review component technology and system operation
• Discuss electrical operation and refrigerant flow paths
• Examine the use of mode recall, fault codes, test point diagrams, service tools, and controllers to troubleshoot system operation
